Application of the tsar, 1917 revolution (Feb.)

-Began with riots and strikes in petrograd
-Feb. (March) revolution ousted the Tsar (abdication)
-Aimed to replace him with a Provisional Government
-Diarchy ensues
-Petrograd Soviet and the Provisional government the two strong fractions
-Provisional gov't led by Prince Lvov
-replaced by Alexander Kerensky

Summary: The people of Russia became tiresome of the Tsar and no longer wanted him in power. This lead to revolting against him and as a result; he was replaced with a provisional government which lead to a diarchy.
